Mont Rochelle

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Mont Rochelle is graceful country living at its best. Surrounded by picturesque vineyards and craggy peaks of the Dassenberg Mountains in the Cape Winelands, you are transported to a world of luxury and gentle decadence just minutes away from the charming winelands town of Franschhoek.

The rooms Mont Rochelle have been individually decorated to reflect a style of Cape grape varietal. While all have equal measures of opulence each has mood all of its own: a rich and chocolat-flavoured merlot, a creamy cap classique suite, noble cabernet, spicy shiraz and plummy pinotage. The reserve suite has a secluded courtyard garden and your own hot tub.

Food and wine take centre stage of your stay in the midst of all this elegance with two restaurant options, a magnificent al fresco terrace and gourmet picnic baskets to enjoy by the dam or under the shade of an oak tree surrounded by vineyards. Mange Tout is the flagship restaurant with a wonderful view of the valley; the Country Kitchen is in the wine tasting room offering less austere fare and a lively atmosphere to match; the bar opens out onto the lawn with lazy rattan chairs where you can enjoy light meals, sunset drinks or a nightcap by the cosy fire.
