Linyanti Bush Camp

Linyanti
4 stars

An intimate luxury safari experience in an exclusive private reserve.

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Set within a private concession on the edge of Chobe National Park, on the fringes of the little visited Linyanti wetlands, Linyanti Bush Camp enjoys an exclusive position in one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich regions. This pristine corner of northern Botswana is renowned for its high predator density, vast herds of elephants, healthy populations of endangered African wild dogs, and exceptional birdlife. During your stay, you might also spot the elusive Sitatunga antelope, as well as Red Lechwe, hippo, and crocodile.

The camp’s design reflects its natural surroundings, with organic colours, rich wood, stone accents, and natural fabrics creating a calm, grounded atmosphere. Elevated tented communal spaces house the lounge, library bar and dining area, while afternoons can be spent at the pool. Leading off from the main area, a raised wooden deck provides thrilling views of the ever-changing Linyanti landscape below.

With only 6 luxury tented suites, each with a private deck and gauze sliding doors offering 180-degree bush views, Linyanti offers a refined luxury safari experience. All suites feature king-sized beds, writing desks, a small lounge area, and a shower that opens up to let the outside in. The honeymoon suite includes a secluded outdoor bath for added romance.

Evenings are enjoyed around the communal firepit beneath the stars for drinks and dinner, with a small gift shop offering locally made keepsakes.

Activities

Daily activities include expertly guided game drives and walking safaris, as well as traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions through the shallow channels of the Linyanti Wetlands. Guests can also opt for a scenic helicopter flight over the concession for sweeping aerial views of the landscapes and wildlife. Birding is particularly rewarding, with regular sightings of species such as African fish eagle and saddle-billed stork. Please note that walking safaris and mokoros are restricted to children over the age of 16.
