Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Only a three-minute drive from sister lodge, Sango Safari Camp, Khwai Guesthouse is an alternative to the more well-known safari-style lodges of the area. It’s paired back in design and price yet still offers the same incredible activities and wildlife experience of the Moremi Game Reserve.

It’s small and intimate consisting of only 6 bungalows and 2 family units with a fenced boundary inside the village, so its safe for kids of all ages. You won’t have wildlife strolling through camp, but that’s about the only difference between here and other camps just slightly further into the bush. Book it with or without the activities. If you prefer the latter, you can do the game drives on your own into the concession and reserve or book additional activities on arrival.

Easily accessible by fly-in and self-drive and, being in the heart of the Khwai village, you will have a chance to experience the traditional lifestyle of the local community and the spectacular wilderness of the Khwai Concession and the Moremi Game Reserve. Located on the north-eastern border of the reserve and only a few minutes drive to the gate, you’re really well located to explore the best of both worlds. Few other places in these parts afford you the same luxury. You can even head off on a game drive into the concession at night. By yourself. Yes, it’s that good.

The atmosphere is friendly, the food hearty and the wildlife experience in these parts, top-notch. Some might say this is some of the best game viewing in the Okavango Delta and they wouldn’t be wrong. It’s a comfortable stay at a fraction of the surrounding “upmarket” safari lodge rates but offers you the best opportunities for wildlife encounters and a real “African” safari.
