Camp Elephant Erindi Private Game Reserve

Camp Elephant Erindi Private Game Reserve

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

The chalets are arranged in a semi-circle around a busy waterhole which is floodlit for the full 24/7 game viewing experience when most creatures are at their most active.

Each unit comprises two twin bedrooms and an open-plan living area that extends to the shaded verandah; the lounge has a sleeper couch for young children and all the units have a fully equipped kitchen and an en suite bathroom to share.

Not a cheap option of accommodation considering you'll be cooking for yourself, washing your own dishes and making your own bed but the incredible wildlife and peaceful setting certainly make it worth while.

The campsite features grassy sites with shaded parking and private ablutions with solar-heated water, a bbq stand and a kitchen area with washing facilities.

Activities on offer at Erindi Game Reserve include game drives, night drives, walking safaris and visits to the San village and ancient rock art sites. Children under six are taken on their own safari and there are several wildlife rehabilitation and conservation programmes to learn about.

Erindi is ideally situated for self-drive family tours of Namibia. An easy three hours' drive from either Swakopmund or Windhoek the game reserve is in a malaria-free area and that all boils down to minimal driving time and maximum safety for you and your family without compromising on the African safari experience.

Camp Elephant is the self-catering chalets and camping accommodation option at Erindi - the other option being luxury accommodation at the Old Traders' Lodge.
