Located on a fully operational wheat and sheep farm amid the private 10,000 acres Elandsberg Nature Reserve, this sensitively restored Victorian homestead makes for an idyllic countryside stay near Riebeek Kasteel.

The main Farmhouse is over 100 years old and offers full-board accommodation in 4 luxury rooms and a suite, each designed with vintage furniture and floral fabrics in homage to the farm's history. A stay here includes brunch, high tea, and dinner served at the atmospheric Conservatory restaurant, as well as twice-daily game drives through the nature reserve.

During the day, relax in one of the Farmhouse’s lounges, or on the large shady veranda, explore the gardens, take a refreshing dip in the scenic salt-water swimming pool, try kayaking, or jump on one of the complimentary bicycles before your afternoon game drive.

Alternatively, choose self-catering for up to 6 guests at Wild Olive House, or at Heron House for up to 12 guests. Perfect for friends or families staying together, you’ll have your own kitchen, garden, veranda, and pool, with the option to order fresh farm produce and ready-made meals from the online pantry.

Activities

Experience morning and evening game drives through the natural fynbos veld to spot many species of antelope and one of the world's rarest reptiles – the endangered geometric tortoise. You can also enjoy walks, bike rides, birdwatching, canoeing and fly-fishing on the lake, and visits to nearby attractions such as Tulbagh, Riebeek Kasteel, Wellington, Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch.
