We are not underplaying and being nice because they are not 5 stars, we simply just like it when something works and here it does.
Enough flirting, Chobe Under Canvas is a tented safari camp that allows you to become sucked into this world of daily activities and experiences, here the bells and whistles are all around you in nature.
The tents are unfenced and moved every two weeks to a completely new site. Each tent has a double bed, a toilet and a warm bucket shower (camping right?) They also have battery-powered lights, a small seating area and toiletries.
Outside you will find the communal tent for dining, sipping and relaxing with your fellow safari neighbours. All your food will be cooked on an open fire and might we add that it is brilliant when enjoyed around the lanterns and under the night sky. Before dinner, you will even be treated to a sundowner on the edge of the water.
Chobe is known for its elephants. During the day you can go on game drives and boat cruises which are included in your stay. The guides know this place inside and out so you can sit back, relax and take it all in.
As we mentioned before, Chobe Under Canvas is simple, clean and just what you need. You have all your meals and activities sorted by the team, you get to enjoy the outdoors and its great view.
Enjoy both boat cruises and game drives to take in the view and see the elephants.
