Auberge Clermont

Auberge Clermont

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Auberge Clermont is on the outskirts of Franschhoek - a small town surrounded by towering mountains in the Cape Winelands. The inn is a charming place to stay while you explore the winelands.

Auberge Clermont has five rooms and a separate self-catering villa. Decorated in Provençal finery with whites, creams and swills of burgundy, the individually decorated rooms are comfortable and spacious with en suite bathrooms. All rooms have satellite TV, under-floor heating, ceiling fans, heated towel rails, mini-bar fridges, coffee/tea facilities and a telephone. The self-catering villa has a large private veranda, swimming pool and a loft room for the kids.

The living area is a welcoming ensemble of sofas, picture windows and an open log fire. In the blazing Franschhoek summer from December to March the swimming pool, with dramatic mountain views, will be you best friend.

Activities

Franschhoek town centre is a few minutes' drive from the farm and there you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, shops, galleries and museums. Beyond the village, wine country sprawls like a patchwork quilt the length of the valley. There are also nature reserves, hiking trails, cycling, horse riding, golf, tennis, music and theatre. Whatever you want to do, your hosts Chris and Sue will provide valuable local advice and will do their best to help you enjoy your Franschhoek stay.
