Timbila Farmstead
Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

This farm-style accommodation on the private Timbila Nature Reserve overlooks the Mount Etjo mountains. Here you are surrounded by typical Namibian bushveld inhabited by an abundance of wildlife. It’s a down-to-earth, hearty experience where farmlife meets safari and the outcome is Timbila Farmstead.

It’s everyday farmlife here; milk the cows, collect fresh eggs and tend the garden, but it’s more that that. It’s also a comfortable and charming option for a stay on one of Namibia’s central private reserves with a great chance to see and encounter wildlife too.

Want to know what life is like for Namibian farmers? This is it. An authentic experience that you and the kids will love and, the best part is, you can enjoy the farm activities and head off on a game viewing safari all in a day.

Fresh air, ground beneath your feet, in touch with nature on so many levels, there’s something special about this place. Home-cooked meals in the kitchen or barbeque beneath the stars.

The rooms are elegant in their simplicity, it’s rustic-chic taken up a notch yet retaining the heart of a farmstead without any gaudy décor passed down through generations. The rooms have all the basic necessities and in the main farmhouse the expected comforts of a classic lodge or camp.

An agricultural adventure awaits you. Timbila Farmstead offers exclusive activities only included for in-house guests and you get to enjoy the activities on the nature reserve at an additional cost. From livestock, hiking trails and specific farm related experiences to animal tracking and game drives, here you can do it all and then some.
