Symponia Guesthouse

Symponia Guesthouse

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Symponia Guesthouse is a stopover on a long stretch of the A3 from either direction. It’s simple but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a spacious room with air-conditioning, WiFi and a full ensuite bathroom. There’s also a swimming pool and a restaurant offering dinner on request.

It’s small with only eight rooms and six campsites. The large paved swimming pool is a central focal point and in the distance, nothing but the wide open spaces and bushveld of the Kalahari Desert filled with the drone of insect life and pleasant song of the many birds.

You’ll appreciate the good night’s rest and the local hospitality before you head off again. Symponia Guesthouse is an affordable stay and, while only mid-range in standard, gets considerably more stars for cleanliness and appeal.

Activities

You’re likely here on a stopover between destinations which means that your time here is short but if you feel up to something, visit the small town of Ghanzi (only 7km away), take a drive to explore the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the surrounds.

The atmosphere here is one that lulls you into a state of relaxation, so really you need not feel like you have to do anything here, except sit and enjoy nature with a splash in the pool come midday and stargazing come nightfall.
