Little Makalolo

Hwange National Park

Little Makalolo
Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

From the main area, Little Makalolo, overlooks a lively waterhole. From a central false mopane tree, teak walkways take you to the six traditional tented suites tucked away into the bush. Each entirely private and decorated in modern African patterns on a neutral palette. Wood and canvas invites you in.Look out from your private veranda. Take in the view. It’s all wild. All raw. And it’s all yours.

This ecologically diverse area is what attracts the abundance of wildlife and you can be sure that game viewing is good year round. In summer expect to see large herds of wildebeest, zebra and eland. In winter you’re guaranteed incredible elephant sightings in great numbers. Whenever you go though, there’s always a chance to see lion, cheetah, leopard and spotted hyena along with buffalo, giraffe, sable, impala, waterbuck and reed buck. To top it all, 400 plus species of bird.

With a light environmental footprint and playing an active role in anti-poaching on the park’s southern boundary. You’re in for a thrilling game viewing experience, whether from the hide or out on a game drive or bush walk. This is one of Hwange’s best wildlife areas and this could easily be one of Hwange’s best camps too.
