Camp Figtree is situated with an endless view near the entrance to the Addo Elephant Park - a beautiful game reserve at the eastern end of the Garden Route and home to many animals besides elephants. The safari lodge is about an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth in a malaria-free area.
With just seven enormous colonial-style suites, the lodge guarantees intimacy and personal service. The rooms have en suite bathrooms, large beds, an inside sitting area and private patio with a beautiful view across a valley. The living area has a swimming pool, a large verandah and a cosy lounge and dining room inside.
Camp Figtree offers safaris at 9am - no insanely early starts here - and again 2pm with most of the game viewing activity occuring in the adjacent Addo Elephant Park. Your game ranger and his personal tracker ensure you have exciting safari outings in search of the big game in Addo Elephant Park inlcuding elephant (naturally), buffalo, black rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, zebra, giraffe, kudu, bushbuck, wildebeest, caracal, warthog and jackal.
In addition to your daily safaris into big 5 status Addo Elephant Park, Camp Figtree offers guided safaris Schotia Game Reserve where you are almost guaranteed seeing lion. You can also participate in the amazing elephant back safaris, horse trails, birding or just lazing by the pool with that fabulous view on hand at all times.
