Stellenbosch is a town defined by the vitality of youth (it's a university town) and the elegance of wine (this is South Africa's prime wine growing region). So it makes sense to stay in the middle of it all.
Accommodation at Bonne Esperance is divided into studio apartments and rooms at the guest house. The studios are about 50m from the main house and offer semi-self catering facilities but they're a whole lot more luxury than your usual self-catering option.
The guest house on the other hand is on-site with slightly smaller but more lavish rooms. In a Victorian house, they are far from old fashioned. In fact the rooms look like they come straight off a Pinterest board and open up with private patios to the communal pool and outdoor lounging area. All with an en suite and you can request either a king-sized bed or two singles.
Breakfast is served either indoors or out on the veranda. For the rest of the meals, make sure to go explore the gems in and especially around town. Stellenbosch is not only famous for the never-ending wine farms, but also for the cafes, delis and restaurants that pop up on every corner. Often these are family-owned or they have been around long enough to tell a story or two. Make it a part of yours.
You are also walking distance from museums and markets, excellent for floating around and exploring in between your wine tasting marathon. Some of the galleries and cultural sites include the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre, The Klein Libertas Theatre, Village Museum Stellenbosch and the Stellenbosch University Botanical Gardens. Stellenbosch although mostly food, wine and culture, with such beautiful landscapes, you should definitely include a bike ride or a hike.
Bonne Esperance Guest House is a brilliant representation of Stellenbosh as a whole. You can venture off and then come home to Victorian luxury and lounge by the pool with a bottle of wine from your trip to the vineyards earlier that day. Who needs another safari when you have galleries and sippable treats?
17 Rooms at the Guest House (B&B):

Enjoy endless wine farms. This is wine country after all and Stellenbosch and the surrounds are home to some of the finest.
Explore the cafes, delis and restaurants in the area. Some of the "Stellenbosh greatest hits" include the Basic Bistro, the Gin Bar @ Steam Restaurant, the Stellenbosch Slowmarket at Oude Libertas and finally the Root44 Market.
For those who want to move and see, you can. Between galleries and theatres or hike and bike ride around the lush landscapes.
