Kubu Lodge, on the banks of the Chobe River, is a homegrown, home-made, home-from-home safari lodge near Kasane in northwest Botswana.

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

With just 11 chalets - hand-made on raised decks, wooden walls, thatched roofs and oozing rustic charm - Kubu Lodge is an intimate and unpretentious affair surrounded by lush gardens and serviced by a comfortable living area.

The chalets, each with en suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and either twin or double beds (family units available as well), are a good distance from each other and the garden sounds of birds and nuzzling warthogs makes Kubu Lodge a relaxing and tranquil base for your Chobe Safari.

The living area features a lovely outside barbecue area - with a view of Chobe River of course - for al fresco dining in the perfect Botswana evenings. The dining area and lounge offer comfort and respite from the midday heat or torrential downpours, depending on your season. A pool laps up the view of the river and Kubu Lodge has a day spa for a double dose of restorative relaxation.

Dinners are a social and casual affair - buffet and table d'hot style - that won't have you declaring extra weight on your flight home but will leave you sated and ready for the next game viewing wildlife adventure.

Activities

Kubu Lodge offers guided game drives into Chobe National Park and guided river safaris along the Chobe River. In the fully inclusive rate are two scheduled activities per day and you've got three game drive times to choose from; two river cruise times and a short spin up the river to the confluence of the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers.

The evening river safari is a must as you get the bonus of a beautiful sunset and plenty of wildlife activity.

Extras include fishing trips and day trips to Victoria Falls; Kubu Lodge has a walking trail on the grounds and nearby there is a snake park and crocodile farm if the kids are getting frisky.
