This 15-day honeymoon self-drive safari took a couple on a beautifully varied journey through Namibia, travelling independently in an NTS Fortuner that proved ideal for the long distances, with reliable sat nav making navigation simple and stress-free throughout. The route combined dramatic desert scenery, wildlife-rich reserves and carefully chosen romantic lodges, flowing naturally from the remote dunes of Kwessi Dunes Lodge and the open desert views at Namib Outpost to the coast and on into Damaraland and Etosha.
Highlights included the striking setting of Mowani Mountain Camp, exceptional wildlife encounters at Ongava Lodge, and a relaxed stay at Onguma Tented Camp, followed by a gentle finish at Okonjima Bush Camp. Thoughtful touches, seamless logistics and well-paced driving days allowed the couple to fully enjoy each stop and settle into the rhythm of the journey.
