Camp Okavango

Camp Okavango

Please note: Our review of this property has not yet been added. Watch this space. We're working on it.

As a tailor-made tour operator, we often have to get creative when designing your perfect itinerary.

For example, your travel consultant might add this property to your itinerary if:

Location is a significant factor
It offers a unique feature that will enhance your experience
This is a last-minute booking and room availability is limited
Cost is a factor and you'd rather splash out on another part of your trip
This is a newly opened or refurbished property that we have not inspected yet

When designing your custom itinerary we have much to consider not least of which is the value proposition of every product and service included in your quote. In all cases we strive to give you the best experience possible within your budget so please feel free to ask your travel consultant to share their reasons for including this property in your itinerary.

Your boat transfer to the Camp Okavango sets the scene as this island safari lodge takes full advantage of all the water-based safaris including the famed mokoro rides, delta-boat safaris and nature walks on the islands.

Camp Okavango offers a complete water-based Okavango Delta safari experience to compliment the land-based alternatives on the edge of the permanent water. The inner delta is a haven for birds, reptiles, small antelope, hippos, crocodiles, elephant and buffalo; the scenery is beautiful and catch-and-release sport fishing is also available.

Accommodation at Camp Okavango consists of 12 Meru-style en suite safari tents on elevated platforms. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and lush, as is the bush you look out onto. Completely open with floor to ceiling doors and windows that open up onto your large private deck. It's surreal. The thatched open-plan main lodge comprises a lounge, a bar and an open-air dining area. Hammocks turn this island into an idyllic paradise.
