" Great to have advice on how and when to tip, what roads to take (or not take) and other useful "not in the guidebook" facts"
we are now back to normal after our fantastic weeks in Namibia. I thought I'd send you a thank you note for helping us make my long time dream of revisiting fantastic. We all loved our three weeks and would gladly have stayed longer if time had permitted it. To sum it all up. We were delighted with all our lodges, our favorites being Doro Nawas, Sandfields and Mushara. All our requests and bookings were catered, and we were greeted with smiles everywhere. The western part of Etosha was fantastic and we stoped counting elefants as we saw so many. We did see all "the big five", but also cheeta and many more animals. We loved our full day cruise on the Kavango and the elefant trecking at Doro Nawas. At Sossus Dune Logde we did drive ourselves all the way to Dead Vlei and thereby beat the crowd (we liked that). Despite the day at Walvis was our only cloudy (yes!!) day we ejoyed the kayaking. Driving was a pleasure and only the drive (from Mushara to Ndovo) was a tiresome one (but we knew that). In total we drove 3700 km. The car was good even if the air-con in the back-seat was a bit on the slow side according to the kids and we were pleased it had two diesel tanks - made us feel at ease when driving long distances without a gas station (in Etosha). We were impressed by the good food, the friendly people and the ease of driving (well signposted everywhere). We saw lots of strange (and spooky) insects, but luckily very few mosquitoes. We saw more beautiful bird than we had expected and we only had one hour of rain (in Rundu). The kids loved that all places had a pool for an afternoon dip and we slept well under the beautiful sky everywhere. The welcome pack you provided us with and the kind and knowledgable information given to us by Estelle was super. Great to have advice on how and when to tip, what roads to take (or not take) and other useful "not in the guidebook" facts. We will be more than happy to recommend Namibia Tours and Safaris and your help to anyone wanting to go to Namibia!! Warm Regards and Great Thanks
