If you like the sound of it you can book this exact trip using the enquiry form below or use the itinerary as a starting point and make any changes you want.
This 20-day self drive circular route takes in the highlights of Namibia and Botswana starting and ending in Windhoek.
"Our enquiries were dealt with promptly over the months preceding the tour"
We were impressed by the degree of professionalism you displayed from the start. Our enquiries were dealt with promptly over the months preceding the tour and you were ever ready with suggestions on venues, etc. I’m sure that on one occasion you were at home when I called on your mobile number to arrange the flight over the skeleton coast on a public holiday. You made the arrangements within an hour – thank you.
The range of brochures and pamphlets included in our folder was extensive and helpful. The booklet of our tour was very well presented, thorough and extremely helpful. Having completed the tour and with the benefit of hindsight I can offer a number of suggestions. These deal mainly with the directions on how to get to the various venues. The directions were actually so good that we relied on them to find the venue with only 2 exceptions. These are:
In the directions to Caprivi after Mushara. . At Bagani turn right onto the C48 road until you find the signpost for Ndhovu to your left. . Follow the dirt track through the village towards the river – badly signposted – about 3 km to the gates of the lodge. (We were never sure if we were on the right track because of the bad signposting. We raised this issue with the management)
In the directions to Central Kalahari Game Reserve (Edo’s Camp). . Proceed through the school yard. Someone at the school has the key to the gate and will accompany you to the gate to unlock it. . You can also call Edo’s in advance for someone to wait for you at the gate. . Drive approximately 10 km through the Game Reserve to the camp. (The track through the reserve seemed never ending because we had no way of telling how far we had to go. The arrangement with the key is that the school will unlock the gate for clients to enter the reserve and Edo’s will unlock the gate to allow clients to exit).
Our ratings of the accommodation venues are: Canon Lodge - Excellent Nest Hotel - Good. Large impersonal hotel, helpful staff Desert Homestead - Excellent Sandfields - Excellent Twyfelfontein - Excellent Taleni Village - Excellent Mushara Bush Camp - Excellent Ndhovu Lodge - Excellent Mowana Lodge - Very good Planet Baobab - Good – rather isolated. Geared for guests who stay longer than one day. Staff not very knowledgeable. Gunn’s Camp - Excellent – highlight of the the tour for us Edo’s Camp - Excellent Olive Grove - Excellent
I hope you find this feedback useful. We really did have a great tour.
