From one luxurious lodge to the next, you will transfer by air after breakfast to Damaraland. This is one of the most popular destinations in Namibia but that doesn't mean you'll be overrun by hordes of happy-snappers. Your stay in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy (pronounced TWAY-fill-font-ain) is assured to be exclusive and the high level of luxury maintained.

When you're there: Arrive in time for lunch at Mowani Mountain Camp and take your time to absorb and admire the magnificent view, the sensational setting and the splendid rooms. After lunch and a snooze, take a scenic nature drive to the Twyfelfontein rock paintings, made thousands of years ago by Africa's hunter-gatherer ancestors – the “Bushmen”.

Damaraland has several unique desert-adapted species of African wildlife including elephant, rhino, lion, hyena and giraffe. The elephants are the big attraction and you can explore the Ugab and Huab River beds for these fascinating creatures as they trek up to 60km a day looking for fresh water sources.
