Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 an 2: Onguma, Etosha National Park

We'll meet you at Windhoek International Airport and provide a transfer to Eros Domestic (about 40km) from where you'll board your scheduled flight to your safari lodge in Onguma Game Reserve.

When you're there: Onguma is a massive private game reserve on the edge of Etosha National Park. With over 30 species of plains game wandering freely between the the two parks including lion, black rhino, leopard, giraffe, zebra and about 300 species of bird including the largest breeding colony of white-backed vultures in Namibia.

Etosha National Park is one of Africa's great game reserves. The waterholes on the edge of a vast pan attract a constant stream of game with several species often in attendance at any one time.

Your two days at the luxurious Onguma Tented Camp are filled with game drives in the private reserve and into Etosha, game viewing at waterholes, birding, feasting and plenty of relaxation in your sumptuous quarters and beside the pool overlooking a waterhole.

Day 3 and 4: Mowani, Damaraland

From one luxurious lodge to the next, you will transfer by air after breakfast to Damaraland. This is one of the most popular destinations in Namibia but that doesn't mean you'll be overrun by hordes of happy-snappers. Your stay in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy (pronounced TWAY-fill-font-ain) is assured to be exclusive and the high level of luxury maintained.

When you're there: Arrive in time for lunch at Mowani Mountain Camp and take your time to absorb and admire the magnificent view, the sensational setting and the splendid rooms. After lunch and a snooze, take a scenic nature drive to the Twyfelfontein rock paintings, made thousands of years ago by Africa's hunter-gatherer ancestors – the “Bushmen”.

Damaraland has several unique desert-adapted species of African wildlife including elephant, rhino, lion, hyena and giraffe. The elephants are the big attraction and you can explore the Ugab and Huab River beds for these fascinating creatures as they trek up to 60km a day looking for fresh water sources.

Breakfast will see you on your way again to what many agree is the highlight of an impossibly highlight-filled seven days: the Namib-Naukluft Park in the Namib Desert.

On the way: Touch down in Swakopmund for lunch and a breath of cool sea air.

When you're there: Wolwedans is a destination lodge in the private NamibRand Nature Reserve, which spans the gap between the Nubib Mountains and the Namib Desert of the Namib-Naukluft Park. Covering 171,000ha the NamibRand guarantees no less than 2,000ha per bed. That's a large bed.
