Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 and 2: Victoria Falls

Transfer to the Victoria Falls Hotel, a luxurious hotel of grand proportions all arches, marbled verandas and immaculate presentation.

Situated on the edge of Victoria Falls National Park, the falls viewing area is a 10-minute walk along a private pathway within view of the spray, the Batoka Gorge and the beautiful Victoria Falls Bridge, from which there is usually some clown dangling at the end of an elasticated rope.

We recommend the sunset cruise on the river, elephant back safaris, the Flight of Angels and, if you're feeling brave, the white water rafting is out of this world. Enjoy one of the world's greatest natural wonders to your heart's content.

Day 3 and 4: Chobe National Park

From Vic Falls, drive to Botswana's Chobe National Park where you'll stay at the comfortable Chobe Game Lodge on the bank of the Chobe River in the Chobe Game Reserve.

Accommodation is in comfortable en suite rooms with a small patio overlooking the river. The large living area is shaded by an enormous jackalberry tree and is a glorious place to while away the day by the pool in between game drives and water safaris.

Day 5 and 6: Chobe National Park

Transfer by light aircraft deep into Chobe National Park on the famed Savute Channel, home to large herds of elephant and some very hungry lions.

Savute Safari Lodge is a luxurious and exclusive classic safari-style lodge on the escarpment of the dry Savute Channel overlooking a waterhole. The game viewing here is exceptional year round with special times before and after the December/January rains when the second largest zebra migration brings pandemonium to the area.

Game drives are the order of day at Savute Safari Lodge where you'll traverse the African savanna in search of lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, elephant and an incredible abundance of antelope.

Includes: Transfers, fully inclusive (excluding premium drinks), all scheduled activities

Day 7 and 8: Okavango Delta

After your post-game drive breakfast it's time to board the short flight to your next favourite lodge: Camp Okavango. Completely different. Equally amazing.

Camp Okavango is a small and comfortable safari lodge deep in the Okavango Delta, surrounded by lagoons and permanent waterways dotted with islands.

Camp Okavango offers a complete water-based Okavango Delta safari experience to compliment the land-based alternatives on the edge of the permanent water.

Day 9 and 10: Okavango Delta

Game drive (or water safari). Breakfast. Fly to next luxury lodge. What's that? You could get used to this? Believe it, it's true. Progressing eastwards into the Okavango Delta, your short flight takes you to Camp Moremi inside the Moremi Game Reserve and one of the best game viewing areas on the sub-continent.

Camp Moremi, like Savute Safari Lodge, is small, intimate and luxurious with a definite emphasis on the good things in life without obscuring the raw beauty of the nature and wildlife that surrounds you.

With safari tented accommodation, luxurious en suite bathrooms and private decks looking out over the water and flood plains time at camp is time well spent.

Time better spent is on the game drives and water safaris where elephent, lion, leopard, large plains game, riparian species and a multitude of birds enjoy the Edenic conditions of the world's largest inland delta (itself surrounded by semi-arid savanna, making it all the more vital).

Camp Moremi is an age-old favourite for its warm hospitality, rustic charm and exceptional Okavango Delta wildlife safari experience.

Day 11 and 12: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

From the lush islands of Camp Moremi, you will fly to the start beauty of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Although teeming with game, life here follows a rugged pattern, stripped down to the essentials with large herds congregating around small waterholes and lions and more stealthy predators in close attendance.

Leroo la Tau has 12 thatched rooms with en suite bathrooms and private decks; the living area is a heap of decks and a swimming pool with a deep shaded lounge, open sides all the better for catching the breeze and gawking at the endless expanse of African bush.

Activities include game drives morning and night and a game viewing hide at the lodge's own waterhole. The game viewing here is always good and the open expanse of empty wilderness makes Leroo la Tau about as relaxing a place as you can be in.

"Thanks for all your work putting together a holiday we truly loved"

We would like to commend the high service received from Namibian Tours and Safaris especially taking into account the short length of time you had to arrange this holiday for us. The recommendations and itinerary were ideal with the majority of our stay in each location being the right duration. The whole process of booking this holiday was hassle free and we would not hesitate in recommending your services to others.

We would specifically like to thank you, Alison, for all of your hard work which resulted in a truly fabulous holiday for us. Also, it was great to meet up with you in Solitaire where you expressed so much love for your country and this was clearly mirrored in the schedule and service you presented to us allowing us to experience this fantastic country. It will not be the case of 'if' we return to Namibia, it is more the case of 'when' we will return as we enjoyed it so much.

"Edward did a super job"

A special mention for Edward he did a super job – vouchers and maps were with our car hire agency at the airport – book presentation of whole trip was clear, easy to follow and complete. He even gave us his mobile No in case we encounter some problems. Really to recommend as Tour Operator and will use them again next time.

Road – all went well and thanks to have recommended a 4Wheel Drive Car – due to rough road conditions we appreciated – you could do it with a normal car and met tourists with B type cars but they took much longer for the journeys – had more issues with flat tyres and most admitted next time they will take a 4Wheel Drive Car.

Would like to thank you for all your time spent and hard work to find best places, difficult tasks due to budget restrictions. I will recommend you and your agency whenever I can – actually already did in Joburg – hope brings you some new customers - and of course will come to you for my next trip this time to South Africa hopefully in 2012.

"Thank you again for planning a perfect vacation for us"

Dear Wilmari,
Back home and I wanted to take a moment to thank you again for planning a perfect vacation for us. I was especially pleased that for the accommodation with dinner all knew about my allergies and cooked accordingly. The Cheetah experience made my daughter very happy and they were so kind to not even charge me for taking pictures.

Highlight of our trip was the stay in The Fort The Fort

I cannot recommend to anybody (fined for driving on their property and below average dinner buffet) and also the Olivia Guesthouse was a letdown when it came to the food (lunch and breakfast).

I have posted some pictures on Flickr, maybe you want to have a look and I'm always happy to read comments.

Last but not least: Could you please send us the itinerary you prepared for us and we received at arrival electronically? Some of my friends are interested to book the same trip with you.
