Accommodation Description

The Aloegrove Safari Lodge is surrounded by a view of the savannah woodland and the Waterberg Plauteau rises up from the hazy horizon.

Johan and Ivy own and manage the lodge and while you can expect personal attention and an intimate atmosphere the separate rooms provide plenty of privacy. The lodge has six chalets and three self-catering suites; each has an en suite bathroom and private verandah overlooking a waterhole.

The main lodge is a delightful stone house with large windows and a cosy interior comprising the dining room, billiards room, conservatory and bar. Outside, the pool, barbecue area and a large tree-shaded deck all soak up the glorious view in complete tranquillity.

Ivy's kitchen prepares meals of the hearty type with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and wholesome combinations - the barbecue is used often.

Johan will take you on game drives in search of the numerous species of Namibian plains game; the lodge has rescued pairs of lion, leopard and cheetah and the Cheetah Conservation Fund is close by. Other activities on offer include bird watching, hiking trails and lazing by the pool overlooking the waterhole.
