Huge stone and thatch chalets squat in the African bush and the hospitality at Kavita Lion Lodge is as welcoming as their beds.

Located on a private game ranch on the south-western corner of Etosha, the lodge offers a complete experience of Namibia: remote wilderness, excellent game viewing and birding; passionate conservation and fascinating cultural interactions.

Activities

Your optional guided activities at Kavita Lion Lodge include exclusive rhino tracking outings (pre-booking of this activity is essential); game drives on the private reserve; guided round-trip, multi-night excursions into the wilderness of western Etosha; bird watching; bush walks; cultural excursions to Himba, Damara and Ovambo communities; and a visit to AfriCat North operation.

AfriCat North (formerly Afri-Leo Foundation) is a non-profit organisation set up at Kavita Lodge with the aim of providing much needed conservation assistance to the wild lion. On top of this, the reserve has over 70 species of mammal including the big names. Over 160 species of bird have been recorded with many specials and endemics on the list.
