Accommodation Description
Hobatere is a mini Etosha and your own private wilderness. Set in 32,000ha of private land adjacent to the western edge of Etosha National Park, you will have all the benefits of a wildlife-rich area and you won't have to share it with anyone else.
The lodge has a thatched wing of six en suite rooms, six bungalows and a charming home-made camping ground about 45 minutes' drive from the lodge. Everything overlooks a waterhole of some kind, be it the pool, the restaurant or the rustic 'sleep-out' tree house.
Steve and Louise are your entertaining hosts and he is one of Namibia's foremost ornithologists and his knowledge of all things natural is worth testing - just to find out how little the guide books tell you.

The reserve has a rich diversity of wildlife including elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, eland, giraffe and Hartmann's zebra and many other species of plains game; night drives are particularly rewarding with nocturnal raptors and predators on the hunt. Waterholes, hides, guided nature walks, game drives and cultural interaction are some of the unmissable activities on offer at Hobatere Lodge.
