Kalahari Anib Lodge
Price: From US$121 (Our pricing)
Location: Kalahari, Wild Namibia
Accommodation Description
The Kalahari is easy on the eyes with just four colours dominating the sprawling panorama of dunes and valleys. The dunes are brick red, the grass is Hollywood blonde, the scattered trees form blotches of olive green and the sky is always a deep blue.
Amid this almost monochromatic simplicity lies the Kalahari Anib Lodge, which adds a few important colours to the sparse spectrum. Built from the local sand brick and surrounded by a dense covering of trees, palms and a lush lawn, the lodge is a tranquil retreat from the exhausting beauty of the Kalahari.
There are 19 en suite chalets removed from the hustle and bustle of the main lodge with views over the dunes and savannah. Closer in and normally used by large groups is a wing of 36 rooms that opens onto a private verandah and courtyard. The lodge also has three secluded campsites with private showers and toilets.
The main living area features a large and inviting pool, with large and inviting sun loungers; a huge terrace and a restaurant.

The Gondwana Kalahari Park is 100sq km of classic Kalahari scenery dotted with large groups of springbok, gemsbok and ostrich; lone jackals, hares and porcupines roam the grassy valleys. The kori bustard is the largest flying bird in the world and sociable weavers build nests that are larger than some downtown apartments.
