Accommodation Description

While Ndhovu Safari Lodge won't win awards for luxury it will surely win your heart for its charm, warmth and spectacular riverside location.

Owners Horst and Ursel, offer a comfortable mix of seclusion and intimacy with private tented rooms that open onto a lush lawn and the sprawling river. Each tent is decorated with bright fabrics and has its own patio, en suite bathroom, twin beds and roll-up sides and front.

Decorated with eclectic and original African artefacts, the living area is a large thatched lapa that opens out onto the lawn and river. A sun deck hovers above the water on stilts offering a panoramic view of the river. Picnic-bench tables in the buffet restaurant are made from slabs of teak and the lounge and bar area have comfortable cane chairs.

Horst is your personal guide and his enthusiasm and knowledge encompasses all things natural and Namibian. Over 400 species of bird have been recorded in the Mahango Game Park, a few kilometres from the lodge, and in addition to the big game you might see such rarities as roan antelope, red lechwe and nyala.
