Accommodation Description

Rossmund Lodge is about 7km inland from Swakopmund and is situated on the grounds of a beautiful golf course - one of only five all-grass courses in the world. Wild springbok trim the fairways and the lush park attracts many different species of birds.

The lodge is built from local stone and its curves mirror the desert dunes that form its backdrop. The rooms are built around a large garden with an enormous rock pool at its centre. Each room has a fireplace, en suite bathroom, private patio, satellite TV, mini-bar and coffee/tea stations.

A bar, breakfast room and small lounge make up the living area, while the clubhouse has an à la carte restaurant and a large bar. Golf is the obvious attraction here and the 18-hole, par 72 course provides a memorable and sometimes challenging desert experience. The lodge is usually a few degrees warmer than Swakopmund making a day beside that pool a serious consideration.
