Accommodation Description
Perched atop a barren sentinel that looks out over the desert is Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp, one of four luxurious lodges in the privately owned Kulala Wilderness Reserve.
Nine suites have been built into the side of the mountain using rock, timber and thatch. Each suite has an en suite bathroom with a view across the desert and the bedrooms open onto a private deck with a plunge pool.
The main lodge is under deep thatch and features a large dining area, comfortable lounge and a large deck for starlit dinners.

Activities at the lodge include early morning guided excursions through a private gate to the Sossusvlei dunes; nature drives and walks on the private reserve; and morning ballooning flights as an optional extra.
Afternoons will see you going on nature walks through the private reserve and sundowner night drives in search of the elusive nocturnal creatures of the desert. Flora and fauna is fascinating and in addition to the many plants and endemic birds you may well see gemsbok, springbok, wild ostriches, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, hares, jackals and the shy spotted hyena.
