Accommodation Description

The Naukluft Campsite is basic, government-issue fare. But it's neat, in a spectacular location and a common base camp for some excellent multi-day hikes in the mountains.

The campsite is about 100km from Sesriem and is located in the lush - by Namibian standards - foothills of the Naukluft Mountains. The camping sites have good shade and the communal ablutions are clean and functional. A small shop sells firewood among other essentials.

If you are seeking unguided, uncorked adventure, this is the place to come. Activities include a short hike to some natural springs; half-day walking trails; multi-day hikes of 60km and 120km with permanent overnight camps; and two-day 4x4 trails.
