Accommodation Description

Built among the mopane trees on a small hill, Epacha Game Lodge and Spa is a group of thatched cottages that looks like the Gaulish village straight out of the Asterix and Obelix books. And you'll need all the strength of Getafix's magic potion when it's time to leave this luxurious lodge on the edge of Etosha National Park.

The 18 en suite chalets are screed-floored, thatch-roofed odes to the Victorian era. Antiques, muted colours and soft furnishings turn the brittle heat of Damaraland into a soft air of elegance and luxury. The air conditioning and ceiling fans also help.

The main lodge is built around a large rim-flow pool that shares its horizon with the African bush. Victorian meets the jet set in the living area with its pool bar, restaurant, lounge, billiards room, cigar lounge, library, wellness spa and the rustic outdoor dining area. Mahogany wood panelling, leather upholstery, rich colours and wheel-barrow sofas mark the décor and comfort level.
