Otjitotongwe Cheetah Farm
Home to Save the Cheetah Project, this remote lodge on its 7000ha of farmland gives you a rare experience handling and witnessing tame and wild cheetah in their natural habitat.
Conveniently located for exploring the Damaraland and Kaokoland regions in north-eastern Namibia, Otjitontongwe is an ideal stop over or short stay destination if you are passionate and interested in predatory cats.
Nine en-suite double bed bungalows are basic but private, each with a veranda from which you can enjoy the African bush. The remote location, surrounded by bush and veldt offer bungalow and campsite accommodation, and a main thatch building where buffet style meals and a chilled drink can be enjoyed at the bush bar.
If you’re looking for superb photographic opportunities take a guided game drive and see cheetahs in the wild or marvel at these stealthy predators during scheduled feeding times.
Visits to the local Himba village are very popular; here you will be able to see how the local people have adapted to this dry environment, and the hand they now play in conservation projects in the area.
