Accommodation Description

With just five suites, Baines' Camp offers first-rate service, personal attention and complete tranquillity. Each suite, at a suitable distance from the next, is built on a raised wooden deck with a thatched roof and paper-thin canvas walls. Inside is a large lounge area, an enticing four-poster bed and luxurious bathrooms. A large veranda accommodates your four-poster should you fancy a night under the stars (the mosquito net comes with).

Overlooking the perennial Boro River and a seasonal lagoon, the living area is hat-on-heart admiration for the beautiful setting of this luxury lodge. A large deck hosts dinners and game viewing lounging, the swimming pool is flanked by two thatched gazebos with day beds.

Water safaris, for which the Okavango Delta is famous, are offered almost all year round with both traditional mekoro dug-out canoes and delta boat safaris available.

Being in a private concession gives you many more options: game drives can extend into the night and you can take guided walking safaris on the islands and the floodplains. A unique and must-do-before-you-depart-this-earth activity is the walk with elephants. Meet three orphaned elephants with their enchanting characters and intricate relationshiops as they take you on a guided walk through their delta wilderness.
