You will notice some of our tours have advertised prices and some don't. Where we have displayed a price it is per person sharing with the standard options selected for that specific tour, safari lodge or hotel.

There are many factors affecting the final price of a custom, tailored tour or safari and wherever possible we provide a price indication that may well be higher than the final quoted price. In all cases the best option is to talk to your Travel Expert, tell us exactly what you want and we'll give you a detailed and accurate quotation.

Factors Affecting the Cost of a Tailor-made Tour or Safari

• The duration of the tour or safari
• The standard and type of accommodation e.g. fully serviced bush camping or five-star safari lodges
• The type of transport used e.g. fly-in safaris or self-drive tours
• Whether it is a guided (escorted) or unguided (independent) tour
• The number of people in your group e.g. larger groups may cost less per person

To give you an idea of what an African safari costs here are a variety of options for the same 10-day tour with different options. The average prices given are per person sharing in US$:

• 10-day Self-drive Camping Safari - $2,150
  Summary: Includes camping fees, accommodation and selected meals and 4WD car hire with camping equipment; excludes fuel, insurance and international flights.
   
• 10-day Self-drive Standard Safari – $2,780
  Summary: Includes accommodation, selected meals and 2WD car hire; excludes fuel, insurance and international flights.
   
• 10-day Self-drive Luxury Safari - $5,820
  Summary: Includes accommodation, selected meals and 2WD car hire; excludes fuel, insurance and international flights.
   
• 10-day Guided Camping Safari – $3,150
  Summary: Includes a safari guide, safari vehicle and vehicle costs, accommodation, selected meals, camping equipment and back-up staff; excludes international flights, insurance and meals not included in the itinerary.
   
• 10-day Guided Standard Safari – $4,300
  Summary: Includes guide fees, vehicle and vehicle costs, accommodation, selected meals; excludes insurance and international flights.
   
• 10-day Guided Luxury Safari – $5,930
  Summary: Includes guide fees, vehicle and vehicle costs, accommodation, selected meals; excludes insurance and international flights.
   
• 10-day Fly-in Safari - $6,500
  Summary: Includes all domestic flights, accommodation, meals and drinks, guided activities; excludes insurance, premium brand drinks and international flights.
