Wayne Wentzel: Fleet Manager
Wayne is our friendly fleet manager and the first (of many) friendly faces you’ll meet on arrival in Windhoek.
Based in Namibia's capital, Wayne tends to our growing flock of double-cabs and SUVs with love and care ensuring you a comfortable and hassle-free self-drive tour of our great country.
Wayne grew up in Tsumeb, up there in the northern part of the country quite near to Etosha in fact and, after a three-year stint in Cape Town studying sound engineering, returned to his home country; a country he is proud to call home and one he believes is like no other on Earth.
Wayne's favourite place is the Matterhorn-shaped Spitzkoppe Mountain just outside (by Namibian standards) of Swakopmund. Happy memories perhaps? Or just the sheer lonely beauty of the place. You decide.
When he's not at work, Wayne is most likely behind his drums. It's safe to say music is Wayne's first love: he studied sound engineering in Cape Town, he gives lessons, converted his garage into a professional sound studio used by many bands and of course he's been in several bands of his own even opening for big international acts. He and Edward are making waves in the local music scene with their blues/rock band Brown Paper Bag - check it out.
