Edward Taylor: Travel Consultant
With a Travel & Tourism qualification, experience in the field and a passion for Namibia, Edward ticks all the right boxes. He's also no slouch on the guitar.
Edward was born in Welkom in the Free State in South Africa, but has lived most of his life in the northern part of Namibia. He studied Hotel Management and Travel and Tourism, worked in a three star hotel for a year before joining Namibia Tours and Safaris and has been with NTS for almost two years now.
Edward is a quiet and calm person with a friendly nature and is always prepared to help where he can and is very enthusiastic about everything he tackles in his life. Music is his passion as well as his full time hobby, and he can't live without it (we even had to have music playing on the Mokoro's in the middle of the Okavango Delta) he loves alternative rock, country, blues, country rock and blues rock because he says it is basic, live and the enjoys the beat and the sound of the guitars and drums.
To keep in physical shape, he enjoys playing squash or table tennis, attending gym, cycling along the beach or swimming. In his leisure time he spends time with his family, works in his garden (he has green thumbs) watches sports on TV and gives guitar lessons to children. He also enjoys playing his own music in his studio and recording it.
Edward loves to camp and thinks this is the best way to get the real African experience and relax and enjoy the nature around you. His favourite destination is an adventure where ever water can be found, he loves the Delta because it feels like a jungle and that is why his favourite destination in Namibia is the Northern parts around Etosha and the Caprivi areas with rivers and dams and lakes.
Italy would be Edwards favourite destination in the world to travel to and here in Namibia, his favourite lodge would be hands down Wolwedans.
