Carmen Hoebel: Travel Consultant
Having moved to Namibia from Germany in 2005, Carmen has come to call this piece of Africa home. Family, friends and the great outdoors are essential components of her life so we think she'll fit right in.
Germany’s loss is Namibia’s gain. Trained as a teacher, Carmen came to Namibia as a volunteer teaching German and fell in with Namibia. And a Namibian.
After the wedding Carmen upped sticks from Nüo;rnberg, where she grew up, and moved to Namibia in 2005. She is now the proud mother of two beautiful daughters and, after moving from Windhoek to Oranjemund, the Hoebel family has finally settled in Swakopmund.
Carmen has travelled throughout Namibia, all over Europe and to far flung places as well. Travel is in her blood as are new experiences and an inherent wonder at the world we live in. Of her favourite destination, Carmen says, “There is not one, there are many. Try at least everything once – you will be amazed how wonderful and varied this world can be and what you will start to appreciate and love!”
A tall order but we are confident there are enough places and experiences in Namibia to keep Carmen and her family here for a long time to come.
