“A fantastic experience”
I just wanted to thank you once again for all the time and effort you put into making our holiday in Namibia such a fantastic experience and give you a bit of feedback. You have a very beautiful country and we found the people very friendly and helpful too. We were clearly expected at all the places we stayed at, and made to feel very welcome. Etendeka was truly one of the highlights for us, and we also enjoyed visiting Sossusvlei and Etosha. All the accommodation in Namibia was very good, and if we had to pick one that stood out from the rest it would probably be the Etosha Safari Lodge for luxury and Etendeka for the experience.

Back at home again after a truly wonderful trip to Namibia. Estelle told us upon arrival in Windhoek that we would love Namibia, and we sure did. The weather, the car, the food, the accommodation, the service, the scenery, the animals, everything was just perfect.
I think I mentioned that the trip to Namibia was to be a once-in a lifetime journey, but have to say the experience was so good that we might do this again, as we still have the Caprivi area to explore and maybe Victoria Falls and the Chobe National Park in Botswana. I'd like to thank you once again for planning this great journey for us, and don't be surprised if I'll get in touch with you again in a few years time.

Many thanks to all the crew at Africa Tours, especially Patrick, who helped us to piece together what has truly been a fantastic trip. We were looking to undertake a self-drive overland trip from Victoria Falls through to Namibia and, as independent travellers, it took a little time to adjust our mindsets to adding a little structure. In retrospect, many parts (distances, road conditions etc) of the trip would have been challenging without the input and local knowledge of Patrick and the team, and their insight helped make our holiday run smoothly. All our queries were handled quickly and professionally, and any concerns we had about the trip were assuaged. From the tree house in the Okavango Delta to the sunset in Fish River Canyon, each day just seemed to exceed the expectations of the previous one. Surely it couldn't get better, and yet it did, time after time. Many thanks again.

Sue and I just returned from a 3 week trip to South Africa. Our time was packed with nostalgic and memorable events. ( We are from South Africa but have lived in Canada for last 30 years ). The highlight of the trip ( thanks to you ) was the 6 day self drive tour of part of Namibia. When I first planned this trip, I started out dealing with another organization but met with unbelievable apathy, slow response and complete inefficiency. That is when I decided to contact you. The contrast was phenomenal. You delivered 110% and we are blown away by your professional efficiency and expertise. The final touch was when you lent us your vehicle. Our first experience of Namibia has left us with a tantalizing, mouth watering desire to return, but this time for much longer as 6 days just doesn't do it justice.

“Superb safari”
We've had two superb safaris under Danie's guidance from design to delivery - it's been like holidaying with a trusted friend, and we couldn't have asked for better ways to celebrate our fiftieth birthdays. We haven't seen much of Botswana (yet), but Namibia is a country of fantastic variety and contrast, stunning landscapes, amazing weather and wonderful wildlife from elephants right down to bugs via some spectacular birds. We found the people welcoming, warm and friendly and the guides knowledgeable, flexible and responsive. We aren't experienced, confident travellers, so making us feel relaxed enough to enjoy such wonderful experiences is no mean feat! The accommodation was always clean, never less than adequate and frequently luxurious; the food & drink always good with every care taken over Peter's diabetic dietary requirements. Highlights include seeing an aardwolf, a honey badger and the Herero chat on Peter's birthday (Etendeka Mountain Camp), seeing an aardvark on Sharon's birthday (Okonjima Lodge Main Camp), seeing three cheetah in Etosha, private encounters with an oryx (Dead Vlei) and a large-spotted genet (Camp Moremi), tracking spotted hyena (Okonjima)and black rhino (Grootberg Lodge) on foot, racing mother & baby white rhino to a waterhole (Edos Camp), sunset over the South Atlantic at Terrace Bay, being left alone to soak up the peace and isolation of the Etendeka Mountains and watching storm clouds tumble off the Grootberg plateau into the Klip River Valley. Special moments, lovely photos but priceless memories - thank you.
